Visas granted on arrival

Arab Gulf Cooperation Council (AGCC) Residents who are not Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) nationals but who have a high professional status such as company managers, business people, auditors, accountants, doctors, engineers, pharmacists, or employees working in the public sector, their families, drivers and personal staff sponsored by them, are eligible for a Non-Renewable 30-Day Visa upon arrival at the approved ports of entry.

National citizens of the following countries: Andorra, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brunei, Bulgaria, Canada, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Holland (Netherlands), Hong Kong, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Malaysia, Monaco, Netherlands (Holland), New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, San Marino, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States, and holders of Vatican City Passports will be granted a free of charge visa for a single visit upon arrival in the UAE. It should be noted that this list may vary slightly from time to time, and it is therefore best to check with your local UAE Embassy or the airline that you are using to fly to the UAE.

Visa application prior to arrival required

All nationalities other than the 47 above mentioned are required to apply for and obtain a visa prior to arrival in the UAE.

Visa application procedure

  • Click on 'Download the Visa Application form' to obtain one.
  • Please provide your complete passport details as per the Visa form and attach a clear copy of the first 3 pages of your passport and a scanned colored passport-size photograph (white background); Send this information by email to WCTOH2015@mci-group.com
  • If more than one person is traveling on one passport (such as a parent and children under 12 years of age), please clearly specify on the form under "Special Request", providing the name of the child and date of birth. (Visa will be charged only per passport for the parent only)
  • Once the visa is approved, an e-visa copy will be emailed to you and you must submitte a printed copy of the same to immigration upon your arrival.

Special notes

  • The passport should be valid for 6 months or more prior to the date of travel.
  • Visa is valid for one single entry only.
  • Acknowledgement of receipt of the Visa copy is mandatory.
  • Working days in UAE are from Sunday to Thursday. (Friday/Saturday is the weekend).
  • All relevant visa documents are required to be sent to Conference Secretariat at WCTOH2015@mci-group.com a minimum of 3 weeks in advance to ensure smooth processing of the visa.
  • Visa fees are payable in full in advance and even if the application is rejected by immigration authorities, the amount is non–refundable.
  • All visas are valid for arrival and departure at Dubai, Abu Dhabi or Sharjah Airports.
  • Visa applications will only be accepted if hotel accommodation is booked through the Conference Secretariat.
